Marc and I spent a lovely first weekend (Friday and Saturday, prior to our second weekend: Sunday, Monday) traveling to Chattanooga, TN. One stop was a meal at Steak’n’Shake where we found this pepper sauce bottle warning all comers: “Careful you”. In addition we tried this, as it turns out, very icky chocolate. [...] I’ve officially begun working on holiday gifts – this photo of one possible arrangement is on my camera so I thought I’d share. The quilt is made from pieced 9-patch blocks and solid black blocks on which I embroidered (via my nifty Brother embroidery machine) images from Nintendo. Three guesses who this one will [...] The farmers have been working overtime to bring in a huge harvest of grapes. They taste just like grape juice! Yet another product in a long line of innovative, or hysterical, products intended to encourage kids to play with their food. Or maybe its to encourage kids to eat waffles (since, you know, kids are so unlikely to enjoy syrup-laden bread products). Hrm. The drum circle in downtown Asheville is just wonderful. The energy gets stronger as you walk closer. We drove down and parked in the garage near the Grove Park (quite a few open spaces left when we got there). We walked down, past several buskers, through downtown. Once we got there it was just [...] A few weeks back we decided to go to ZF, I think possibly for someone’s alt toon (but I may remember wrong) and ended up practicing pulling 2/3 of the place at one time. I’ve really enjoyed being [...] For many of the tax exempts my team works on, the year end is September 30th, which means their final due date for the Form 990 is August 15th. This quilt was inspired by the one seen here. It was made for the very Link-obsessed Jalen in an afternoon. Not bad, right?
The kids, Marc and I all went played World of Warcraft last weekend with a goal in mind: get a new pet for our characters. Moira came up with the very brilliant “get the mariachi hat that summons a coyote pet” idea. As you can see, it went well. [...] |
