…we’ll roast sausages (again) and toast marshmellows (again) probably in the form of tasty, tasty s’mores this time around. If I get home late enough from work, perhaps we’ll even watch the fire dance and then dwindle in the evening light.
The yard is nearly what I want it to be now, missing only a few chairs, a few friends, and a table or three.
My plan going forward is to grill every Sunday night.
And the first week in June will see our new firepit put to use (once I pick it up from the it’s-a-small-world-isn’t-it welder who is making it from a discarded heating oil tank with stars and moons because they remind me of my daddy).
As for this morning, it’s off to the dentist (yay?) and then to CVS to pick up a sling for the elbow I injured hammering stakes into the posts for the ring toss game I decided to make for our newly nifty yard. I can’t even lift my cell phone with my right arm right now, as the elbow is so swollen and painful. Whoops.
Forty-four is starting with a bang.
