We went to Bele Chere and I picked up a new piece for my planned collection of art in the bedroom; I really should get around to putting that up one of these days. Marc said that was the deal I was agreeing to: if I bought the art, I had to start hanging [...] Number of hours worked by Tuesday this week: 22 Turkey cheddar sausages eaten: 3 Lunches with husband: 1* Hours spent filing: 3 Triumphs over bureaucracy: 1** Failures to bring Dorothy to childcare as planned: 1*** I can’t wait for the weekend which I hope will involve (1) trip to Shakespeare, (1) walk into town, (1) [...] Elspeth: Until I was almost grown I thought lettuce and tomato was a hamburger. Me: What do you mean? Elspeth: When we were little you’d give us the lettuce and tomato off your hamburgers and I thought that was what a hamburger was. Me: (doubles over laughing) Elspeth: Also, I don’t think we were [...] We took Dorothy up the falls in the Deep Creek area of the Smoky Mountains this morning, leaving around 8 am and returning close to 3 pm. We walked a couple miles all told (Dorothy walked more than half of that by herself!). This particular walk is even, very little elevation change.
