Els bought a swimming pool for us for Mother’s Day – and we finally got around to installing it tonight (though I think we need to empty it, level the ground, and install it again – or more likely figure out how to pay someone else to do that for us).
The water was cold. The deep end is all of 2′ (if that); the shallow end is around 15″. For all that, it was fun! And being cold in this weather is LOVELY.
I got to wear my bikini (though calling it a bikini is overstating things – its a full coverage two-piece suit that won’t bind or ride up to sag on even the most bubbly of bottoms – I love it!), and Dorothy tried out her floaty-thing suit. We’ll skip the floaty-thing suit next time opting for a plain ol’ normal suit instead.
She loves splashing, being splashed mildly, and seeing someone foolish go under the water and back up again.
I can’t wait to try it again tomorrow night after grilling!
