I’ve fallen big time for the “name your price” feature on Priceline.*
This weekend Marc and I will (hopefully) enjoy a $50 room in East Knoxville courtesy of Priceline’s own Captain Kirk.
Other plans include: an Asheville Astronomy Club stargazing event in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a viewing of Raiders of the Lost Ark in glorious IMAX-o-vision, and media shopping at our favorite used bookstore.
* Becka, we should try booking hotels this way if we know where we want to stay any given night while traveling. It’s easy, and can result in real savings if we aren’t picky about which brand hotel offers us shelter; it’s dodgier for airfare because you can’t pick even so much as the part of the day when you’d like to fly.
