A $25 family membership will allow me to borrow books from their library, including books on photographing the night sky. I’m not yet sure whether I’ll join, but it’s intriguing anyway. We’re attending an event this Friday night put on by the club in Haywood country. I’m looking forward to it.
I’ve avoided learning more about the night sky nearly all of my adult life, but now that my best resource for that learning is gone, somehow I’m yearning to know what I can no longer learn from my daddy. If I can learn to photograph the skies, to capture images of what I imagine he appreciated with each step outside in the nighttime, I can get back some of what I’ve lost.
Or at least I think so.
