….and inside, too! The monitor heater is again giving us troubles. I wonder if there’s someone in the area who services them this year (as last year we had an accidental service tech, being as we couldn’t find any one who actually serviced Monitors here). My guess is we’ll need to plan to replace the heater before [...] …we’re paring down to make it through our underemployed phase. I’m working, the kids aren’t for right now (one’s job came to an end, the other ended their job long past when they should have) excepting insomuch as they help out at home of course. This means we need to up the fun, and down [...] I learned to crochet today at The French Broad Chocolate Lounge – the first meeting of Stitchin’ Sisters. It was great fun. In other news: We’re going to GRANDPARENTS! Elspeth is pregnant, and due in early January! We find out next month whether to expect a boy or girl! Today we’re headed up to Johnson City, TN – a trip that’s been in the works since long before I was let go. Trevor’s brother’s birthday is being celebrated this evening, and he’d like to be there, of course. Moira and Trevor are spending the holiday with his family this year. My folks are headed down to eat turkey with Els at her home. Marc and I will spend it quietly here at home, enjoying Warcraft and chicken nuggets. I hope your holiday is super!
Dance like no one is watching, Happy New Year! I made it to midnight just barely – I was up around 5.30 on New Year’s Eve morning – so it was tougher than I’d planned to stay up. The big mistake I made was reclining the recliner. LOL! We – our family of four – watched the 2nd season “The Simpsons” DVDs [...] Clockwise-ish from front left: Tutu, Beth, Poppa, Moira, Keith, Marc, Becka, MomNear the entrace of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN. ~*~ Well – family has left and headed home. Keith and Becka (my younger brother and sister) are in Washington DC for the night – Keith has dreams of fireworks on the mall, but Becka isn’t so [...] We’re almost all ready for Hallowe’en! (More pictures of these costumes can be found here.) I’ll be wearing my Sari this year – its too lovely for words. Marc will stay home and warm up the scary-movie-dvds for us – and we’ll come home hours later with lots of candy. Last year, there was a [...] Look at ‘em go! Moira and Becka sit here in the front seat with Beth and Keith in the furthest back seat on Splash Mountain in Disney World during their visit in May!
