Mother and daughter are doing well. Marc, Milo and I were able to be there for the birth. She was scheduled to be induced on 10/9 at 6:00 am. Real labor didn’t begin until after midnight on 10/10. Elspeth spent about 2 hours pushing (she was a champ; figured out early that the better she did [...] …which is what she really is every single day, of course! Photos by Nick, a photographer she works with often. Our budding makeup artist, applying a bit of lipstick, poses for a portrait. I can’t quite remember what inspired this eye make-up for Moira – probably a YouTube contest of some sort – but I like it. She continues to pump out the YouTube tutorials at a solid pace. I continue to watch just because seeing how she’s getting better at them is exciting – even if I’ll [...] I was going to say “short, but sweet” and then realized I had nothing to back that up with. Heh. Wednesday after our return was largely dedicated to getting Moira to and from school, running a few errands, and sleeping. Turns out an extended weekend in Florida is darn tiring. I don’t pretend to even begin to understand, but here’s Moira’s newest make-up thing. She explained it this way, “Blah, blah, blah, don’t blend here, blah, blah, but here you do, blah.” It isn’t that I’m not interested, it’s that I don’t even begin to understand the terminology. It’s all too glittery and wonderful, isn’t it? Moira loves the CakeWrecks blog, and so do I, so we made her this wrecktastic cake for her 18th birthday!
